THE INTERMAP AWARD

1. The name of the award shall be “The Intermap Award”.
2. Intermap Technologies offers an annual award of $500 in cash, to promote and reward authorship in GEOMATICA in all fields relating to geomatics, including photogrammetry
3. The winner of the award in any year shall be the author of a peer-reviewed paper (feature) published in GEOMATICA during that year and chosen by the Selection Committee as being the best among those that, in the opinion of the Committee, conform to the intent of the donor.
4. Papers shall be rated upon the following basis:
a) originality
b) practical value
c) conciseness and clarity of expression
d) general interest
5. Full responsibility shall rest with the Canadian Institute of Geomatics with respect to the administration, selection of the recipient, and presentation of the award.
6. The Selection Committee shall consist of the members of the Publications Committee, Journal Editorial Staff and Associate Editors and CIG Council, as well as other members as may be appointed by the Executive Committee of the Institute.
7. The decision of the Selection Committee shall be final.
8. Presentation of the award shall be made each year at the Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Institute of Geomatics.
