Atelier international
sur la qualité des données géospatiales – Aspects
juridiques, éthiques et techniques.

Date: 18 mai 2012 dans la salle 205C du Centre des congrès
de Québec.
L’atelier suit immédiatement le Congrès
Géospatial International qui se tiendra du 14 au 17 mai, au même
endroit.
L’atelier débutera par l’allocution de notre conférencier
invité, soit Kevin Pomfret, Directeur exécutif du Centre for
Spatial Law, suivi par une série de présentations qui exposeront
les principaux résultats de recherche issus du projet IV-23 du Réseau
GEOIDE. L’atelier se terminera par une session plénière
portant sur « Information géographique volontaire (IGV) : Aspects
juridiques et éthiques », animée par Roger Longhorn
et impliquant David Coleman, Michael Goodchild, Harlan Onsrud et Teresa
Scassa.

GéoConnexions en collaboration avec la NASA,
l’IEEE et la
NCAR organise un atelier sur Comment définir, mesurer et communiquer
les avantages socioéconomiques de l’information géospatiale.
L’atelier aura lieu au Centre national de recherche atmosphérique
(NCAR) sur le campus Foothills à Boulder (Colorado) du 12 au 14 juin
2012. Vous trouverez ci-joint une invitation à participer à l’événement
en soumettant vos présentations selon vos expériences en matière
de pratiques, développement ou recherches sur les évaluations
socioéconomiques quantitatives qui incluent les méthodologies
et les paramètres d’évaluation et la façon de
communiquer l’importance de l’information géospatiale. La date limite de soumission est le 9 mars 2012.
L’information géospatiale aide le gouvernement, le secteur
privé, la société civile et les personnes à prendre
des décisions. Il faut absolument se servir de cette information
plus efficacement compte tenu de la complexité des enjeux et
des conséquences importantes sur le développement économique
et social. Les participants proviendront du gouvernement, d’universités,
d’ONG et du secteur privé, et ils représenteront
un vaste éventail de domaines scientifiques (sciences naturelles,
