Subject to the authority of Council, each branch is administered by a Branch Executive of members in good standing of the Institute, consisting of at least a chair, vice-chair and a secretary-treasurer, whose duties are to manage the affairs of the branch. Each duly elected officer may hold office for a term of up to three consecutive years.

Any member of the Institute resident within the boundaries of a branch is a member of the branch.
